4th week- ish

So, now I'm definitely feeling comfortable with this city now! I can get around without a map or a GPS! Ya, bet you didn't see that one comin'! Haha. I've been exploring around town, found many quaint little places, many in West Hollywood! I guess the gays know what there doin'. But surprisingly I didn't see many gay people around... or I'm just so used to seeing them I cannot tell the difference (I'm guessing the second). I went to Urth Cafe which is a trendy cafe with a lot of organic teas, coffees, etc along with sandwiches n such. Will be back there again soon.

Anywho! Been going to the beach a LOT! But my tan is still not quite up to par, I better get on it.

This past weekend, I saw my friend Ben (and Sam's ex Andrew- randommmm) barely at a beach bon fire. I want to go back and try it out with some friends again soon because it's so much fun! Then Javier (the random guy I met on the beach with Erin) invited me on set of Lincoln Heights. It's a cable show on ABC I believe about teens n such. I got to mingle with the crew and saw Javier do some stunts- very cool. I will hopefully upload pics and videos soon.

I'm currently working on becoming an extra in films (just for some extra cash in which Idesperately need). I interviewed for what I thought was a prank role, but it turned out to be an MTV disaster date reality show which I'm not going to do... don't want to sink down to that level if ya know what I mean. But it was very fun trying out for it. I had to scream and the camera and be funny. They wanted me to put my friend Emily on the show, me setting her up on a bad date. I made up a story (which is based on true events from Sam and Jenni) in which she set me up on many lesbian dating sites... They ate it up! Anywho, hopefully my next audition will be more successful.

Another random thing which made me love L.A. even more was the random shit that goes on here. Incubus posted a "secret" concert on their website on Sunset blvd... think Nick and Norah's Infinate Playlist...anyway.. ya not so secret. There were so many people lined up: I'm going to say about 1000. But Javier made friends in the front of the line by getting them beer so we got in. It was RIDIKKKKK! We were so close to the band- I could almost lick the sweat of off Brandon (that gorgeous singer of Incubus). And the place was legit as well. Not bad for a Monday night..

Other than that I have been working on an edit for work for a talk show of Justice Interrupted. And just been playin' music and writing scripts [ in which I'm almost done with one :) ]

3rd weeeek

So my roommates came into town this past weekend- soooo much fun. I miss them already!
First night Robyn and Katie got here... we drank, a lot. Next day we picked up Erin from the airport and road all over town, starting on Venice beach and watching all the crazys! Some guy said that Robyn was every black mans dream HAHAHA so funny. Those boobs and butts are what those black men crave mmmmm.. and Erin and I got some sweet bracelets. And I got a toe ring. Ok question to you all (comment below) has anyone heard of the rumor where if you wear a toe ring your a lesbian. Let me know. anyway, then we went to the grove and ate at the farmers market and walked around the shopping. Then more shopping at Melrose! Got some sexay jeans. Then drank again that night, making an interesting dance video, me rapping to Natalies rap, and parts that I don't remember... all in all a good night.

Next day we went to Santa Monica and went to the pier, had some DIP n DOTS- fuckin love those things!!! Shopped some more at the promenade, then went up to Westwood and walked around, then time for a night out! Went to level 3 club- officially my first club besides the buzz (baahahaha the buzz...). First of all, I love being a white girl: heres why. We get to the club, instantly a woman comes over to us and asks if we would like to go to the front of the line. HOLLA. Next we get the VIP lounge where we danced on a stripper pole....i have to work on my moves it was not pretty. But I must give compliments to erin cause she was all over that dance floor. THEN these club promoter people came over, wanted us to come to their club and bought them all shots of Patron ($12 a shot).. (i was driving). So needless to say being a white chicka rocks here in LA. BUT I must say we do get hit on everywhere!!!! Not used to it. I cannot count how many times we had gotten hit on. Example, last day erin and I were chillin at the beach and this guy comes over talks to us for 20 min, leaves us alone and then comes again later to take us to pizza. Take a hint buddy. I guess its flattering??? :/ Anywho, so to end that club night, I became an asshole driver in LA and got through the traffic on Hollywood blvd. while we raved in the car, making pedestrians all dance with us... one guy grinded on a pole for us.

So yes, time with my loves here was amazing, but it made me realize I miss home a lot. Hit me hard after they left but I'm gettin' better about it now. Been keepin' busy with learning and writing music, writing some scripts, watchin' movies (or tryin to), applying to more internships and I may apply to be a bartender a few nights a week to help out with money! I edited our Hide and Seek video Trevor, Robyn and I made during the year... check it out its HILARIOUS

Week 2

So I'm starting to get the hang of the city- actually know where each section is and such! And I am using my GPS a lot less.

David was here last week and we had so much fun! We went to E3, which i had never heard of till I got here. For those of you who dont know what it is it Electronic Entertainment Expo, where all the gaming companies get together and show their new games and you get to go around all day and play them! My two favorites were super mario for wii (you can now shake the controller to fly if u get a certain helmet) and this game called dragon age (funny cause you can make the characters talk to each other and it sometimes leads to sex bahaha). Also enjoyed the wii tenis but I took out like 3 guys playing, one i believe i smacked in the head. But honestly, look out for my backswing- geez. After that we went to this really good korea bbq place where you cook the food on the grill in front of you. Best part I got to drink there without being carded!!! Got a lil schwasty- just a lil (we all know the tank I can be). After that we went to this coffee bar, but not an ordinary coffee bar... The waitresses had only lingerie on... interesting

Other than that I go to the beach almost everyday after work, since I get off around 3/ 3:30 and I'm so close! Why not right!

Also, been hanging with Emily and Rob a lot! Love those guys- so fun! Sunday we went to this girl Frankies house (who is hilarious by the way) and watched the Tony's.

O and last night I was suppose to go to this hoppin party with celebs and everything! I took Rob with me and we were excited. All went well and we got through those red velvet ropes till the door where the bouncer was.... ya minor detail- only 21 and over. FML! The party looked sooooo cooool too! ugh. I felt really bad for Rob cause he could have gone in (he's 21) but being the gentleman he is he came back with me.
SO IF ANYONE HAS A FAKE FOR ME OR KNOWS ANYONE, LET ME KNOW! IM DESPERATE

My roomies are comin' in town today! So stoked for this weekend- many plans already- it will be epic!

1st Week!

1st week here in LA! It's crazy here but I love it. I am definitely overwhelmed by how much there is to do here and how many people there are in this business! I knew it was big but damn!

So I have explored the city a little bit but haven't even made a dent yet in all that I have yet to explore! Its amazing. When Jenni and I got here we first went to Venice beach, saw all the crazys. I like that beach a lot, all those hippies n such! There is this one black dude I always see there who walks around in a banana hammock carrying a shot-put ball walking up and down the boardwalk all day making sure people watch him. So FUNNY- its in the video. Jenni and I ate there and then it started getting dark and sketch so we booked it back to me car. and it was SO COLD with the wind that night oy.
Then sunday we met up with Emily and Rob and went to the Grove. I love this place. It feels like a market in Europe somewhere. They have everything you can think of there as well as every different race. I myself had some Chinese food that was delic. We also went into some thrift stores that are AMAZING- so much better than AZ's. They are like real stores with awesome prices. We were going to go to a flea market but we ran out of time- but from the side it looked huge (thats what she said)
Before Jenni caught her flight we drove on Sunset blvd, Hollywood blvd and Rodeo dr.... amazing. Whole other world over there- I can see why its so prestigious.

This week I have been workin and hanging with Emily. Love that girl! She has been showin me around the city and such, meetin' new friends etc etc. I'm so glad she is here!

Work- the mysterious job is not so mysterious anymore. I work for Peter Bermann, President of Perfect Timing Media Co. Inc, and I work for that company which is also with The Fremantle Corporation. Apparently these are very big independent companies but I'm out of the loop and have never heard of it. But I'm very fortunate to have Peter, a big name in the biz, take me under his wing. I am doing bitch work right now, labeling things and such, but will soon advance. Peter is going to see how savvy I am on Final Cut Pro and other programs and then get me to work. Also, he is getting an executive deal soon which means I can get paid yay!

Other than that- went grocery shopping, bought too much food as always that will not fit all in the pantry... fml. typical.
